Germany's best-known forester has written a new book and we are looking forward to talking about it with you and Peter Wohlleben.
What would trees actually tell us if they could talk? Around ten years after the publication of The Secret Life of Trees, science has gained many new insights - the perfect time to let the trees themselves "speak". Peter Wohlleben lends them his voice.
Peter accompanies a 250-year-old beech tree on its journey through life: from its beginnings as a tiny seed to the majestic size of a giant tree. It talks about the challenges it faces, the cohesion of its "family" and how life and survival in the forest actually work. Modern research confirms something astonishing: trees communicate by clicking sounds and can hear! They also have eyesight, remember and pass on their experiences to the next generation.
Sounds fascinating, doesn't it? We are looking forward to the reading with Peter Wohlleben about his new book"Buchenleben".
