Benjamin Achenbach is a leadership trainer, breathwork coach, and father of three children.

He supports teams and executives through training and coaching sessions, for example at Education First.

For over two decades, he has worked at the intersection of leadership and corporate culture and has held various roles at startups, scale-ups, and international corporations.

Shaped by competitive sports, entrepreneurial experience, and training in breathwork and bodywork, he combines personal healing processes with modern organizational development so that change doesn’t remain merely an idea but takes effect in everyday life.

In his life, he seems to have achieved everything—and yet lost everything. It was only through a personal crisis that he found his way back to himself. Today, he helps people and organizations step away from constant overwork, recognize their potential, and embrace new forms of success.

About his book *Escape from the Golden Cage: Carrying Trauma and Keeping Freedom in Sight*:

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A LIFE SHINES ON THE OUTSIDE WHILE IT’S FALLING APART ON THE INSIDE?

In this book, Benjamin Achenbach describes his journey out of a system of performance, expectation, and silence. From the golden cage of his childhood and career, through the moment of his breakdown, to his liberation and realignment, he recounts the experiences that fundamentally changed his life.

“Liberation from the Golden Cage: Carrying Trauma and Setting My Sights on Freedom” combines personal experiences with social analysis. It explores how family influences, career logic, and pressure to perform affect people; the role that the body, breath, and intuition play in transformational processes; and the conditions that are crucial for redefining success.

The book sheds light on how crises, traumas, and losses can be not only endpoints but often starting points for deeper insights and personal growth.

It demonstrates how inner mindfulness, listening to one’s own body, and the ability to be authentic are essential levers for personal transformation.

“Freedom from the Golden Cage: Carrying Trauma and Looking Toward Freedom” is thus not only a life story but also a contribution to the social debate on achievement, vulnerability, and paths to true freedom.

The event is free of charge with prior registration via our calendar.
