Since 2023, Narkose has been synonymous with aggressive, dark, and socially critical German punk from North Rhine-Westphalia. A band from the Ruhr region, founded by four guys, that combines influences from hardcore, post-punk, and German punk. Narkose impresses with intense, rousing live shows, a fast, catchy sound, and hard-hitting, sometimes over-the-top lyrics. Their debut album, “Überleben-Koexistenz,” was released in the fall of 2024 on Bretford Records. The album features 13 raw and stormy tracks with a total running time of 27 minutes. Frantic instrumentals and lyrics that oscillate between frustration and madness define the style of this album. The album is a DIY production, made possible by the intensive support of various figures from North Rhine-Westphalia’s hardcore and punk scenes.
