Somewhere between fresh neo-soul, alternative R&B and Latin rhythms lies emotional chaos, dreamy optimism and wishful thinking. When Lia J picks up the pen, hip-hop flow flirts with pop vocals. Love meets wishful thinking, vulnerability and irony dance a tango, while reality and illusion disappear together into the back room. Her suitcase always half-packed, she likes to color her wild tumult of thoughts with foreign sounds and takes her audience from her native Europe across the Atlantic to Latin America. Since 2023, Lia J has regularly performed live on German stages, including Bikini-Berlin (radioeins), Karlstorbahnhof, Tollhaus, AboutPop and the Schlossparkopen Festival in Pforzheim. Her music can be heard on major Spotify playlists and radio stations such as Deutschlandfunk Kultur, WDR5, COSMO and Bayern2. On the upcoming album "Mid 20s" with Bastido, she deals with the problems of the twenties and wraps them in witty humor, subtle irony and a touch of criticism. She is also working on her debut album "Globe", which is due to be released in 2025. "Globe" is inspired by her admiration for vibrant rhythms and delves into different musical cultures with artists from around the world. Lia J is a genre-bending artist who uses her extensive travels around the world to stamp her sonic passport with different musical landscapes and languages.
