In the organizer's words:
The "Light of Hope" fundraising gala was launched to improve the living conditions of people living with HIV in the Philippines.
The Philippines is among the countries with the highest infection rates in Southeast Asia, and people who have been infected—in addition to all the medical problems associated with the infection—are very often victims of discrimination, stigmatization, and exclusion.
We work very closely here with the Santibok Foundation, a local nonprofit NGO. It is deeply committed to prevention, medical care, psychosocial support, and educational outreach.
