Licht.Mensch.Raum Fotografien von Andreas Görß

In the organizer's words:

The photographs of Berlin-based Andreas Görß are taken onwalks through the cities of Europe. On these forays, he prefers to photograph architecture with all its lines, symmetries and fascinating reflections. He particularly likes it when the light plays its own games. His works are well-constructed compositions full of aesthetics. The viewer finds a synthesis of geometry, light and shadow.

In some of the photographs shown here, people take center stage. They are chance encounters.

Passers-by, alone, on the move in urban canyons, labyrinthine spaces, dirty rows of houses. You can almost hear their footsteps echoing on the pavement. The bored, the uncomfortable, the tired trapped between the sea of houses. Leaving subway stations, their eyes are flooded with light. Departing? Arriving? In a hurry towards a destination, or strolling, aimlessly?

He collects fleeting moments by pressing the shutter release. Each picture tells us its own story.

One of his current projects is portrait photography, two examples of which are shown here.
