The "Life Model Sculpting and Drawing Workshop for Beginners" by artist Ella is an exclusive master class to learn the ancient craft of "Life Model Sculpting". This course is suitable for beginners as well as for those who want to deepen their current knowledge.
During the workshop, you will gather in a meditative, silent studio atmosphere and experience a 180-degree setting centered around the nude model. Ella provides personalized instruction tailored to each participant's experience level, accompanied by wine, music and all necessary materials.
You'll begin with a series of quick charcoal sketches on paper, exploring shape perception. In the next step, you will begin modeling in clay. This unique workshop will help you discover your own unique signature and style. You will learn different techniques and working methods that will help you to translate what you see with your eyes into a sculpture formed by your own hands.
The workshop will be conducted in English. Upon request, it is also possible to receive personal assistance in Russian or Hebrew.
What you will get
Please note: Bring a pad or box to help you transport your sculpture at the end of class.
Feel free to bring your own favorite tools if you'd like!
About the Artist
Ella Taub has been leading this comprehensive workshop experience for over 7 years.
Ella was born in 1993 in St. Petersburg, Russia and began her career as a sculptor at a young age. At only 22 years old, she established her first sculpture studio in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Ella devotes herself to teaching while focusing on her own artistic practices, both creating and exhibiting in galleries. Her particular approach focuses on connecting participants with their natural intuition and teaching them to "listen with their eyes."
Recently, Ella moved to Berlin and opened her professional studio in the Charlottenburg neighborhood of West Berlin.
Here you have the opportunity to get intimate insights into her work processes and the rare chance to learn directly from the artist.
"It is a space for personal development, where everyone is welcomed with personal attention and warmth. I strive to create an atmosphere that is as comfortable, safe and calm as possible so that everyone can go through their own individual processes and find their unique expression." - Ella Taub
