Vocal jazz - personal, sonorous and in a lively dialog between voice, instrument and presence
The Lilith Walkenhorst Quintet creates worlds of sound that touch and resonate. The familiar is not simply interpreted, but reinterpreted with a personal touch and a contemporary perspective.

The focus is on the voice - sometimes as a lyrical instrument without text that merges with the other instruments, sometimes as a narrative force in the foreground. The result is a lively dialog between word and sound, tradition and the present.
