Classical mugham singing from Azerbaijan

Nisbet Sedrayeva and her ensemble are dedicated to classical Azerbaijani mugham, a modal musical tradition with Persian, Caucasian and Turkic influences that combines improvisation and emotional depth. Accompanied by tar, kamancha and percussion, the exceptional singer, born in 1998, interprets this UNESCO-recognized art form together with experienced musicians with virtuosity, concentration and great emotional immediacy.
