Fancy a Lindy Hop? A social dance to swing music. Creating a dance together - with a partner and music - without having to get super close (even if you could), instead with more focus on creativity and often silliness - that's what it's all about. Free registration required at anmeldung@qzm-rn.de.
Lindy Hop is a social dance to swing music that originated in the 20s and 30s, mainly in the black community in the USA. Fun is the word that dancers most often associate with this energetic dance style.
The dance roles are "lead" and "follow" instead of "Lord" and "Lady". In our workshop, everyone gets to know both dance roles so that you can try out what you enjoy more: leading, following or switching.
You don't need any previous experience, just comfortable clothes that cover your shoulders and waist and shoes with as slippery (flat) a tread as possible and possibly a change of shirt. (It's a sport, we will sweat ;)
As Lindy Hop is a social dance, we often change dance partners. So in the end everyone has danced with everyone. So you don't need a fixed dance partner and can also come alone.
The workshop will be held in German and English.
The workshop leader Caro is looking forward to seeing you!
