Carving art and creative prints

In this workshop, you will design your own linocut motif and learn step by step how to turn an idea into a small print edition. To begin with, you will choose a motif - either bring your own sketches or choose from our templates. You then transfer your motif to a plate (9 × 15 cm) and carve it into the surface under instruction.

Once your linocut is finished, it's time to go to the printing press: You will print up to 10 colored A5 prints and can try out different papers to achieve different effects and create your own personal mini edition.

The course is suitable for beginners as well as for anyone who already has some experience with printmaking and would like to deepen their knowledge. You will get to know the entire process - and at the end you will not only take home your own lino prints, but also lots of new ideas for further print projects.

What is included

• All materials included: High-quality textiles, vinyl plate (9x15cm), including colors, printing papers in different colors and tools.

• Various templates: You can choose your own motif template.

• Do you already have a motif of your choice? If desired, please bring your desired motif in size 9x15.

Good to know

• No previous experience necessary: Ideal for beginners - you will be guided step by step.

• Artwork to take home: You can take your artwork home with you straight after the course.

• For the way home: Please bring a suitable bag for your work to keep it safe.

• Course language: The workshop will be held in German. Please speak to our course leader if you would like the instructions in English.

• Location: When booking, pay attention to the address given for one of our two locations - you will also find it in your confirmation email.

• Aprons on site: If it gets colorful, we will of course protect you with aprons.

• Participation: The workshop is suitable for everyone aged 12 and over.
