The May edition of the Literature Club will feature the two Cologne poets Lisa James and Nasima Sophia Razizadeh.
While Nasima Sopia Razizadeh will read from her poetry collection "Die Goldwaage" (Wallstein), Lisa James will present texts that are being written for her first poetry collection. Moderator: Adrian Kasnitz

Lisa James is a media artist and author based in Cologne. Her poetry and prose have appeared in literary journals such as die horen, DAS GEDICHT and 'apostrophe. She was a finalist in the 31st open mike at the Haus für Poesie, Berlin and has been a guest at various literature and performance formats, such as the unruly readings at the Orangerie Theater or the auftakt festival at gold+beton. She has shown her artistic work at Temporary Gallery (Cologne), weltkunstzimmer (Düsseldorf) and westwerk (Hamburg), among others.

Nasima Sophia Razizadeh, born 1991 in Frankfurt am Main, is a poet. Notable places of residence are or were Cologne, Vienna and Edinburgh. She studied, and currently teaches, biology. Her texts have been awarded prizes by the literature houses in Salzburg, Stuttgart and Wuppertal. "Sprache und Meer", her debut, was published in 2023 by Matthes & Seitz Berlin / Rohstoff. Her first volume of poetry, "Die Goldwaage", was published by Wallstein Verlag in July 2024.
