Double concert at Kukoon with BUBE and Paloma & The Matches - good mood and surf vibes guaranteed!

BUBE is an indie band from Leipzig/Berlin with influences from funk, disco and surf. Their first full-length album will be released online and on vinyl in September 2024. BUBE formed in 2020 shortly before the coronavirus lockdown. Since then, the four-piece band has released two EPs and played countless live concerts and tours in Germany and Austria. Their style is characterized by driving grooves, polyphonic vocals and 70s flair.

The Bremen band Paloma & The Matches are characterized above all by a handmade mix of good-mood surf music, dirty guitar riffs, paired with funky basslines and melancholic, dreamy sounds reminiscent of old Tarantino or Bond soundtracks. Here and there, oriental-influenced drums stray into the authentic overall picture, broken up by the raw main vocals of singer Bianca Paloma Marstaller and rounded off by the experimental three-part harmonies of the male band line-up: Kai Kampf, Tom Wagner and Jelte Hildebrands.
