In a world of “higher, faster, further,” it may be time to slow down a bit and live in the moment. Future Backup dares to do just that, with gentle, sophisticated melodies on the vibraphone, atmospheric synth sounds, and relaxed yet precise drum grooves. Radically soft indie jazz with an electronic twist—minimalist, yet rich in warmth, maturity, and depth. These qualities are impressively reflected on their debut album, *Golden*. 

The trio consists of Volker Heuken on vibraphone (Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Award), Lukas Grossmann on Hammond organ and synthesizer (Bruckner), and Johannes Koch on drums (Life is Great). Together, they have performed at countless concerts and festivals, including Jazzahead!, Jazzfest Berlin, and the Hurricane & Southside Festival, receiving significant media attention for their performances.

Future Backup ’s music may sometimes seem dreamy, but the band means business, as their collaboration with producer Jonas Holle (Milky Chance) proves. Combined with mastering by Joe Joaquin (Annenmaykantereit, Judith Holofernes), the subtle pop influence gives the overall sound a universal, wonderfully charming appeal.
