The works of the artist collective loretta challenge fundamental principles of the art world, such as originality, recognizability, and individual authorship. In their place, they promote exchange, shared knowledge, and the conviction that creativity arises through human interaction.

loretta explores how art can emerge under the conditions of a system that permanently links visibility, attention, and economic value. The collective views this contradiction not as a flaw, but as the very focus of its work.

The focus is not on individual authorship, but on the process of collective thinking, decision-making, and action. The identities of the participants recede anonymously into the background of the work. It is not the signature but the collaboration that becomes the actual material. Art is understood not as a commodity but as a relationship and a process. This gives rise to works that do not claim to provide answers but rather open up possibilities for rethinking coexistence and artistic production.

Galerie r8m, with its focus on conceptual and concrete art, looks forward to supporting this social and artistic experiment as an interface between the loretta artists’ collective and the public.
