'Luxoria - Frauen ab 50 ins Licht' is a two-day festival on May 30/31, 2026 at the ufaFabrik in Berlin - lively, interdisciplinary and full of encounters. The focus is on female artists over the age of 50, whose voices, bodies and stories are still too rarely visible in the cultural sphere.
Luxoria invites you to music, performance, literature, conversations, dance and shared moments. It is about age and new beginnings, desire and memory, visibility, desire, humor and social participation. Different artistic formats enter into dialog with each other and open up spaces for listening, thinking, feeling - and dancing along.
Luxoria is aimed at a cross-generational audience: curious people, culture lovers, neighbors, friends, daughters, sons and allies. People meet here to share perspectives, change images and tell new stories.

Central personalities & speakers:

Ellen Esser: Festival director and initiator of the project.

Regina Ziegler: The well-known film producer talks about her career and the motto "It doesn't work - it doesn't exist".

Gesine Cukrowski: The actress is committed to a modern image of women ("Let's Change the Picture") and reads from "Sorry Tarzan, I'll save myself".

Ulli Lust: The award-winning comic artist will give a lecture on women as human beings at the beginning of history.

Silke Burmester: Journalist and founder of the magazine Palais Fluxx*, which campaigns for the visibility of women over 47.

Michaela Caspar: Director and actress who humorously addresses the topic of dying in a performance.

Experts for workshops & talks:

Astrid Müller: expert on hormones and the menopause, who provides information on natural treatment methods.

Laura Meritt: Communication scientist and activist who leads workshops on sex positivity and joie de vivre.

Annunziata Matteucci: Musician and director of the women's choir Passa Cantu, who teaches traditional songs.

Julia Johannsen: Offers dance workshops on the "poetry of the body".

Stefanie Nordhausen & Ulrike Winkelmann: Lead courses on biographical writing.
