It all begins with witches predicting Macbeth's future power; he is to become King of Scotland. His ambitious wife is so taken with this idea that she makes him walk over dead bodies to turn the witches' prediction into reality. The apparitions and fantasies drive the cruel couple further and further into murderousness.
