From October 26 to 31, 2026, the machwerkhaus köln in Cologne-Kalk will host the machwerkschau for the fifth time. Parallel to the design and furnishing formats Orgatec, idd cologne and Design Season Cologne, it is part of the autumn trade fair days in Cologne - with its own focus on contemporary design, craftsmanship and urban production.

In the industrial halls of machwerkhaus köln, brands, manufacturers, designers and students present projects, prototypes and new products from the fields of interiors, light, materials and color. The exhibition is complemented by guided tours, workshops, lectures and other formats that provide insights into workshops, studios and production sites.

The machwerkschau is not a traditional trade fair, but a curated exhibition and event format that allows visitors to experience design where it is created. Following the successful 2025 edition with over 10,000 visitors, it will once again invite visitors to discover design, production and new ideas in a special atmosphere in 2026.
