2022 changed everything for Mackenzy Mackay. The British singer-songwriter released his single "The One That You Call", which gave him his international breakthrough. With more than 1 million followers on social media and 3 million monthly listeners, Mackenzy Mackay grew from a promising artist to an act that sells out shows in under an hour within 12 months. His songs "The One That You Call", "Sweet Moment" and "Venus" together have more than 100 million streams on Spotify and are among the artist's most successful tracks alongside "Selfish" and "Honeycomb". Comparisons to Post Malone, Dominic Fike and Ed Sheeran underpin his success and stand for the unique sound of the singer-songwriter from London, who has toured the world from small underground clubs in Scotland to New Zealand. On his upcoming world tour, Mackenzy Mackay will be playing to over 20,000 people and will be coming to Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and Cologne in addition to shows in the USA and Europe.

Mackenzy Mackay was born in Yorkshire and grew up on the border with Scotland. While his mother sang and his grandfather played guitar, Mackay was inspired by music at an early age. With influences from 90s hip-hop artists such as Tupac and Biggie as well as acts like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Artic Monkey, the musician was inspired to write his own songs. With an attitude of constantly writing better songs and inspiration from music, movies and books, the singer-songwriter's career took off three years ago. In 2021, Mackenzy Mackay released his debut single "Honeycomb", which now has more than 12 million streams on Spotify and showcases Mackay's unique voice with its distinctive sound for the first time. After further singles such as "Voyage", "Sweet Talk", "I Can't Undo" and "Temperature Rising", the singer established himself in his home country by 2022. With his current single "Call Me Yours", Mackenzy Mackay opens up to love on a lyrical level and mixes his catchy sound with a dialogical approach. Influenced by acts such as Post Malone, Noah Kahan and Kid Laroi, Mackenzy Mackay establishes an internationally grown sound that perfectly combines aspects of the singer-songwriter genre with modern pop productions and emotional and approachable lyrics from the singer's reality of life. With his EP "Life, Love & Upsets" , released in June 2024, the artist bears witness to the time in which he himself came to popularity. "It's about love, upsets, the things that hurt, the loss of our loved ones, not being able to say goodbye properly and heartbreak," says the artist about the lyrics of his EP. Following his single "Postcards", the single "Call Me Yours" was recently released, which wraps his catchy pop sound in a modern singer-songwriter aesthetic. The Londoner-by-choice knows how to express his own life experience in approachable lyrics and inspire on an emotional level. In spring 2025, he will embark on his biggest headline tour to date.
