MONDAY, JULY 27 — 7:00 P.M. MARIENPLATZ, MUNICH — VIGIL
Attack on CSD Berlin: Munich Honors the Victims!
The city’s LGBTIQ* community will hold a vigil on Monday evening. Starting at 7 p.m. at Marienplatz, representatives from CSD, city leaders, and the community will speak. With a simple ceremony and brief messages of solidarity, Munich’s community aims to honor the victims of the Berlin CSD.
On Saturday evening, a vehicle plowed into a group of people; one person was killed and many others were injured.
Starting at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 27, at Marienplatz, Alexander Kluge, executive director of Munich CSD, as well as representatives from city leadership and the member organizations of Munich CSD, will speak. A musical performance will conclude the memorial: Piana Electric will sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Attendees will have the opportunity to lay flowers or light candles.
