sacred: sound - Soundbath mit Kristallklang in Kirchenatmosphäre 💫
In the organizer's words:
"Sound needs space. And space changes sound"— perfectly captures the intention behindsacred: sound
The church...
as a deliberately chosen resonant space—entirely without religious connotations—offers the harmonizing crystal sounds a whole new way to take effect and unfold.
The dates...
are also aligned with full and new moon cycles to incorporate the current astrological elements for particularly effective sound baths.
🌑 September 10 — New Moon in Virgo
This new moon invites us to pause and once again clearly sense what truly resonates in our lives. Virgo energy focuses our attention on the little things: the habits and patterns that shape our daily lives. This helps us become more aware of what strengthens us and what may no longer be right for us.
Reflections:
- What can become clearer within me?
- Which habits nourish me—and which keep me stuck in old patterns?
- Where do I wish for more ease and inner order?
- What small step would I like to take for myself?
🌕September 26 — Full Moon in Aries
Following the quieter, organizing energy of the Virgo new moon, the full moon in Aries brings with it a significantly more powerful shift. Now, what has been maturing within you over the pastfew weeks can come to light—and perhaps alsowhere you’ve been holding yourself back so far. This is especially true since the equinox (day and night are of equal length), which occurred just a few days earlier, serves as a threshold moment that invites you to reflect on your own inner balance and to appreciate what has grown over the past few months or what needs to be let go of.
Aries stands for courage, vitality, and the first step toward inner truth. But this full moon is opposed by the Sun in Libra, raising the intriguing question:How do I stay true to myself without losing my connection to others?
Reflections:
- Where am I still holding back my own power?
- Which part of me wants to finally be lived more courageously?
- Where do I conform, even though my inner self actually knows a different direction?
- What am I willing to leave behind now so I can walk my own path more freely?
What should you bring for a relaxing sound bath experience?
- A (yoga) mat and a (thin) blanket
- (Eye) pillow, if desired
- Water / tea
How do you get to the location?
Navigate to the Evangelical Luther Church at Bergstraße 3 in Giesing.
Access to the church outside of opening hours: via a side entrance at the back. To do this, simply walk between the church and the adjacent Giesinger Bräu toward the back of the church, pass the large church door, and enter the building through the covered doorway to the right of it—then enter the church through the door on your left marked “Kirche.”
Contraindications—when is a sound bath not recommended?
- If you have a known history of epilepsy
- if you use cochlear implants or a pacemaker
- during the first 3 months of pregnancy and approximately 6 weeks before giving birth
- In cases of acute psychosis and while taking strong psychotropic medications
**Answers to questions received about the event
- Sacred: sound has no religious background: the church is simply being used specifically as a unique, atmospheric location for the sound bath
- There is enough space in front of the altar for the yoga mat you bring. Part of the floor is carpeted, but you can also lie comfortably on the uncovered areas
