A stage performance by sassy fires

We can't find the fountain pen cartridges - mom knows. We have cold feet - mom knows. We got an F in geography - Mom knows. We stole sweets from Sven - Mom knows. We need a present - Mom knows. We're heartbroken - Mom knows. Sometimes. Sometimes I think my mom doesn't know anything. My mom says you don't point your bare finger at people with their clothes on. My mom points her finger at everything. And sometimes she says that I don't understand anything - that I will understand when I'm older. Mom's words of wisdom are empty phrases. I'm older now. But honestly? I don't know anything. I think I do. I see her and myself and I hear people - Sven! - who say: one day you'll be mom. Everyone always says something. About her and me and my sisters. Who we should be, what we should be able to do and then we all ask ourselves if we're enough and then I usually don't feel like it. I just want to slip back into my inline skates and come home when the lanterns come on, where my mom has already laid out the plasters.
