Hidden deep in the forest is a Catholic boarding school for girls who are difficult to educate. Maria is new there. She has been expelled from school several times because of her habit of talking in her sleep. Now she has to pull herself together to finally stop standing out. At first, she has her classmates against her. But all the newcomers have the same dream when they arrive at boarding school. Only one has spoken in her sleep before Maria: Mirjam, and she has disappeared without a trace. So the girls introduce Maria to the myth-enshrouded history of the convent. The sisters who founded it were the penitential sisters of Mary Magdalene - fallen women, prostitutes and witches' children. Their unorthodox agenda had brought them into confrontation with Heinrich Kramer, the greatest witch hunter of all time. He had cursed the monastery. Does this have anything to do with Mirjam's disappearance? Or is the head nun involved? A nightmare begins for the girls that leads them to the divine boss.
In her play,the young author Svenja Viola Bungarten humorously deconstructs patriarchal mercilessness and juxtaposes it with secret women's alliances and supernatural powers. Horror meets discourse and pop meets quick-witted dialog.
