A cabaret linguistics for natives and Roigeplaggde
Dr. Markus Weber starts with his new dialect program: "Glaawe ses?"
The audience has been waiting a long time for a new dialect program by Dr. Markus Weber. Also he could not perform live for a long time because of Corona. But he has used this time creatively. In addition to his second fairy tale double CD, he has written his bilingual fairy tale book "Weinheimer Märchen". But not only that. He also analyzed our Woinem dialect as a linguist with a doctorate. This resulted in a huge collection of material on the grammar, theory of forms, phonology and theory of meaning of our beautiful Kurpfälzer dialect. His congenial co-writer Manfred Maser spun a thread out of Weber's wealth of research and thus Weber's new program "Glaawe ses?" was born, which like his earlier programs "Hiwwe un Driwwe" and "Iwwerleije se mol" is once again a homage to the Woinemer Kurpfälzer language. It is a cabaret linguistics for natives and Roigeplaggde, a language course in unsrer Sproch and indeed in all competence levels of language acquisition-a linguistic parforceritt from A1 to C2. An outline of the not yet written Kurpfälzer phonetics, grammar and semantics.
So if you want to know what liaison means in Kurpfalz grammar, or how the Kurpfalz subjunctive differs from the High German subjunctive, or how the past participle is formed irregularly here in contrast to the High German, but still regularly for us natives, then take part in this cabaret-like linguistics "Glaawe ses? Because not knowing our language can have fatal consequences if you want to live here but don't know or understand our language. Because between knowing and "glaawe", wanting and "häd gern", doing and "däd" are worlds apart!
And afterwards, even the Roigeplaggde will know which linguistic peculiarities there are when greeting, saying goodbye or doing the daily shopping, what the Kurpfälzer clock times and weight units are called and what significance the good old parade cushion has in the Woinem dowry. A treat for the heart and mind! Glaawe ses!
