Welcome to the Haiku & Piano Concert!
In the Japanese short poem - haiku - the four seasons are a very important element.
Poetry is released through the feeling of the seasons.
"HaiKu-la-Vier" is a harmony of haiku, piano, La Vie - life - and the four seasons.
"Each season I create a "HaiKu-la-Vier" concert.
I read classical haiku by great haiku poets in Japanese and translate these texts into German. For each haiku, I play suitable piano music from all possible eras and countries: this time with works by Takemitsu, Chopin, J.S.Bach, Ohta and improvisation, among others." In the concert, I choose the pieces of music spontaneously here and now and communicate with the pictures by Christoph Schneider."
Tokyo-born Japanese pianist, sound performer and composer Masako Ohta is active in the fields of classical and contemporary music, improvisation and film scoring.
