An idealized Arcadia in glaring artificial light and a melancholy daydream in the rain. Of Curious Nature negotiates the moods of the times on the level of the body and transforms human (mis)paths into dance art.

A place reminiscent of the edge of a sports field. Athletic bodies move in glistening, artificial light as if on a catwalk. Everyone seems absorbed in their own self-expression. And although they are in the same place, they have little to do with each other and are more of a social backdrop for each other. A strange emptiness spreads.
With the title Arcadia, choreographer Matthew William Robinson refers to a place of longing to which many aspire, but whose fulfillment remains unattainable. He relates this to the artificially generated images of perfection in the digital present - today's ideals that drive us. Together with Of Curious Nature, he looks at the human, narcissistic circling around one's own image, multiplied thousands of times in social media.

Water trickles down the window panes and feeds the longing for the rain. In this setting, Of Curious Nature plunges into a melancholy daydream that blurs the indoors and outdoors. Helge Letonja's choreography Black Rain creates poetic images to multi-layered sounds that take on a surrealistic life of their own. The people seem to wander in different worlds. Their relationships range from disturbing to touchingly absurd. There is a hint of nostalgia and regret in the air.
