Maximo Park go on tour in Germany with their new album

Three years after their last studio album, Maximo Park are releasing a new record and are going on tour across Germany with five dates in November. Freshly released, their first single "Favourite Songs" shows what fans of the British indie rock band can look forward to musically. The Brits' melodies vibrate with concentrated energy, and the anger more than occasionally erupts into faster, harder songs. With a host of hits to their name, the boys from Newcastle continue to "put the pressure" on their sound and success. However, the band's overarching aim is to create a genuine connection with their listeners and fans. Maximo Park, formed in 2003, consists of charismatic frontman Paul Smith, guitarists Duncan Lloyd, drummer Tom English, live bassist Paul Rafferty and live keyboardist Jemma Freese. They are known for their energetic shows and catchy melodic songs, which cover a wide range of topics from personal relationships to social commentary and get stuck in people's heads. Maximo Park are constantly influenced by a variety of different genres. Since the release of their debut album 'A Certain Trigger' in 2005, a multi-platinum selling, Mercury Prize nominated breakthrough, Maximo Park have undergone an evolutionary development. Paul Smith, who is also the band's lyricist, clearly professed his socio-political convictions. This colorful activism continued as a common thread throughout their subsequent albums, culminating in 2017's "Risk To Exist" - an album born out of the tumultuous events of 2016. They have always been about "being aware of your voice, empowering, sharing and communicating with people", and this further developed into "empathy, engagement, anger, ambition, anti-cliché, maturity, reflection and big ideas" on their seventh album 'Nature Always Wins', which reached #2 in the UK charts and garnered serious critical acclaim. The band continue to tour to thousands of enthusiastic fans around the world year after year and continue to release groundbreaking emotional music, so the forthcoming album is also expected to be full of promising tracks.
