WAT ET NIT ALL JITT - COLOGNE PREMIERE

The Cologne cabaret ensemble "Medden us dem Levve" with their program: "Wat et nit all jitt".

In many stories, poems and song lyrics the visitor finds himself again. The everyday things or incidents are, nevertheless, mostly, if one listens carefully and goes with open eyes through the life, with quite a lot of humor and situation comedy connected.
For almost twenty years the ensemble has been successful on the cabaret stages in Cologne and the surrounding area.

Elfi Steickmann
Full of curiosity and with a good sense for punchlines, she describes incidents of everyday Cologne life
and Cologne mentality. Much of what she describes she has experienced herself. To demand something cheerful from everything serious and also serious from everything cheerful can be found in her descriptions again and again. Her talent as an author, combined with her talent to perform what she has written, is a wonderful and unmistakable synthesis.

Mariam Weber (guitar, bass, vocals and cajon)
Not only does she play guitar, bass and cajon excellently, she also has a wonderful singing voice which
voice, which can be heard again and again in solo songs, but also as a choir voice. She has been a permanent member of the ensemble for over 10 years. Meanwhile she also writes and composes her own songs for Medden us dem Levve.

Wolfgang Nagel (vocals, cajon and harmonica)

Moderator, musician, Karnevalist and native of Cologne. That he was already active as a musician for over a decade before he was discovered for the carnival, few people know. In his songs, humorous, satirical, but also thoughtful melodies and lyrics have emerged. In 2018, he released his first solo album "NAGELNEU" with original songs.

Dirk Schnelle (bass and vocals)
A multi-musician. An excellent bass player. Also his singing voice always opens up new possibilities for the programs of "Medden us dem Levve". Dirk also played in other formations like the "Kölschen Adler" or in the orchestra Ted Borgh in the events of the Lachenden Kölnarena.

Michael Tamme (bass and choral singing)
He has been on tour with the ensemble for five years now. In the beginning he was only a guest musician, but today he makes a point of saying: "I am now a permanent member of the ensemble". An excellent bass player and choir singer, who, in addition to all his musical abilities, is also distinguished by his positive charisma, not only on stage.

Christoph Manuel Jansen (piano, accordion, guitar, vocals)
A new musical member in the ensemble. After the longtime pianist Andreas Münzel left the ensemble in the fall of 2022, we were able to win Christoph Manuel Jansen. A musical stroke of luck ! By profession music teacher for the instruments: piano, keyboards, accordion, guitar, mandolin, ukulele, bass, drums. In addition, he gives lessons in harmony, arrangement and composition. A multi-talent who brings all his musical skills and qualities to the ensemble. One of his guiding principles: "Making music is only really fun with like-minded people!" He fits more than 100% into the musical concept of Medden us dem Levve.

Franz Martin Willizil - Dä Hoot - (guitar, mandolin, vocals)
He helped among other things songs like "Kumm, loss mer fiere" and "Hey Kölle", with the HÖHNERN vocally to the premiere. Yes, he is the lyricist and composer of many "Höhner songs". For 22 years he was active as a musician with this Cologne cult band. Born in Cologne on 11.11, he naturally knows and lives the carnival traditions of his hometown. "The Cologne language can do so much more than just carnival", that is F.M.'s firm conviction and working motto. As "DÄ HOOT" (the hat has been his visual trademark for years).

Horst Weber (singing and comedy)
For more than three decades Horst Weber is mainly on carnival stages on the road. Of it many years very successfully with his son Jörg as musical dialogue "Weber & Weber". He is a comedian and musician at the same time. He always knows how to make people laugh with his very special way.
