MeHr Noise
Photo exhibition by Peter Hartinger/ Armin Wonner + Tom Roter
Vernissage April 2, 6-10 p.m.
in the rooms of 647FM - Ubierring 13 - 50678 Cologne
The photos by Hartinger and Wonner document concert photos from the front line - directly in front of the stages of the eighties - shot with minimal technical effort. On display are live photos of punk and post-punk bands such as The Fall, Chelsea, Einstürzende Neubauten, which were mainly shot in the triangle of Cologne, Bochum and Duisburg.
Tom Roter's photos are as shrill and colorful as the nineties. Pictures that tell their own stories and revive memories of old times.
The photographers
Tom Roter studied communication design and photography in Essen, was a freelancer for the WAZ and worked for music magazines such as Sub Line, Spex, Coolibri and Marabo.
Peter Hartinger and Armin Wonner founded the punk fanzine Schweinepest in 1983 and later the indie magazine PopNoise. In 2021, they published the book "Der Lärm der Nacht - Postpunk im Westen", which makes concert photos from the post-punk era accessible.
