OPUS Klassik and ECHO Jazz award winner Sebastian Studnitzky returns to the Pantheon Theater with the Odesa Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra—featuring a band and a new program!
With his project “Memento Odesa,” founded in 2023, the musician and composer has been performing benefit concerts throughout Germany since early 2024. Three works, which were spontaneously recorded in 2023 right at the Odesa Philharmonic to draw attention to the plight of the people in Ukraine, have since grown into something much larger: The 2026 Winter Tour is already the fifth tour of Germany with the Odessa Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and band; two albums were recorded and released together in Berlin. “Memento Odesa” combines classical music with jazz elements, orchestral depth, and a powerful emotional expressiveness that elevates the significance of music and culture for human connection to a new level.
ECHO Jazz and OPUS-Klassik award winner Sebastian Studnitzky is known for his unique compositions—soundscapes that bridge classical, jazz, and electronic music. He is committed to providing artists from Ukraine with a stage for their musical work, something that is currently only possible to a very limited extent in their home country. With “Memento Odesa,” he also emphasizes the responsibility of artists to use their talent and platforms meaningfully. The program is a modern-classical tribute to the city of Odesa and its residents amid Russia’s war of aggression.
All proceeds will be donated to aid projects in Ukraine.
