SERPENTIN

SERPENTIN is a truly exceptional artist who is breaking genre boundaries with her unique indie-electro sound and spreading like wildfire in the German newcomer scene. After a successful first festival season in 2023 with over 18 festivals throughout Germany, such as MS DOCKVILLE, her distinctive, intense voice paired with songwriting that captures and never lets go, her self-produced sound spreads into a storm of freedom and pain that leaves no one untouched. Somewhere between Moderat and Paramore, their indie-electro sound blends into a German-language fever dream. Co-produced by Ikarus and brought to the stage by an explosive live band, a SERPENTIN concert lets everyone drift in their raging river.

Error

There are many newcomers, but very few sound as unique and individual as Error from the very first song. Any comparison - whether musical, vocal or lyrical - is pointless. But when the 22-year-old Hamburg native sings full of melancholy about loneliness, fear of the future and the search for himself, wrestling with his own feelings and sensitivities, falling to the ground more than once and yet always getting up again, he speaks from the heart of his entire generation. "I had a piano teacher who hit me on the fingers if I didn't hold them properly while playing. That didn't have much to do with creativity." - What is created on her mother's discarded laptop does. At first it's all too obvious, between worn-out C major chords and 150 BPM beats, before - influenced by British kitsch pop and German-language indie from the late 2000s - his own signature increasingly emerges.

Diggidaniel

Diggidaniel is one of the most up-and-coming artists of the new German wave. Inspired by bands such as Depeche Mode, The Cure or Joy Division, Daniel develops his sound in a timeless manner with great choruses and creates such a stirring atmosphere with just a few words that is rarely the case with a newcomer. Without taking trends into consideration, he creates his own world of confidence, melancholy and allows the listener to participate in personal doubts and desires. In an unmistakable way, he awakens longings for liveliness and draws finiteness into the moment as the songs draw to a close. Contrasted by Daniel's own driving productions, songs are created that make you dance to introspective heartache and yet radiate hope. Timeless themes and lyrical precision merge with contemporary dynamics to create great moments, which unfold above all in his live performances.

POL

When Dave Bascombe (Depeche Mode) himself sits down behind the console to mix one of the band's songs, you can't help but prick up your ears! In 2023, POL released their first EP after a few singles and brought back the New Wave with their analog sound more authentically than almost any other band. In addition to music, Ruben & Matthjis are also closely associated with haute couture, working as models for fashion houses such as Saint Laurent, Gucci, Valentino and Dior and also producing music for some of these brands. With "Comme Ça", they have definitely put one of the most persistent earworms of recent years in our ears... It could be worse :)
