Metteson's music is written for the stage. The Norwegian, whose debut album "Look To A Star" will be released in February, writes, sings, plays, dances and lives his fantastic synth-pop symphonies with dedication and is the next star from Scandinavia. His songs pay homage to the 80s and his fellow countrymen A-ha as well as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Robyn and George Michael. But what sets Metteson apart from the aforementioned is his training as an actor. The result is an incredible stage presence that combines music, light, dance, singing and charisma. These live shows are a great mix of pop star dynamics and theatrical grandeur. Metteson's firm belief in the power of imagination informs everything he does, from his concerts to his avant-garde visuals. The strikingly choreographed video for 'Put It to Sleep', a euphoric electro anthem from the album, invites us into an evocative fantasy world where tears are made of sand. Born and raised in Moss, a small coastal town 30 miles south of Oslo, Metteson studied acting at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Some big stage roles followed, but he found that acting gave him less room as an artist than he wanted. So he began to write his own songs. Over the past four years, Metteson's fan base has grown exponentially thanks to sparkling pop gems like "Second Heart", a declaration of love to the iconic female singers he grew up with, or the infectious "Under Your Shirt". Last year, he sang his sublime power ballad "Never Let Me Go" at a special show to mark the 50th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality in Norway. Now Metteson is ready to conquer Europe.
