MetzgerButcher / The Strobophonics

In the organizer's words:

MetzgerButcher consist of two brothers with bass and guitar, supported by an electronic rhythm machine! Influenced by the punk of the 70s and NDW bands of the early 80s, Larry Butcher and Hans W. Metzger have been making music since 2020, which they themselves describe as "electro-indie post-punk rock". The band's debut album "Zwei vor Zwölf", released in June 2023, received consistently good reviews (including in Ox magazine and Deutschlandfunk Kultur). In January 2026, the duo released "Mensch und Natur", the third pre-release single from the upcoming album, which will now be presented for the first time in Cologne at Stereo Wonderland.

MetzgerButcher will be supported on this evening by Cologne-based independent wave rock band The Strobophonics, who will also be presenting new music with the single "51 Seconds".
