"Mi Música" - "my music" - is what director of studies Rolando Garza Rodríguez calls his concert. With solo works for piano and songs, he provides insights into his life and the accompanying soundtrack. As director of studies, he usually works in the background and is responsible for rehearsing various parts for musical theater productions. Now he and his compositions are coming to the fore. In conversation with music theater dramaturge Frederike Krüger, Rolando Garza Rodríguez provides insights into his life: his development and work in various positions at the theater, about his many travels, his passion for architecture, painting and of course above all - music. Singers from the ensemble and choir dedicate themselves to his songs, which sometimes sound cheerful, sometimes dramatic, sometimes romantic and sometimes melancholy. With texts by William Shakespeare and the Mexican writer Amado Nervo, among others, poetry and great emotions find their way into the foyer of the Bremen Theater.
