At the center of this special evening is an exploration of Ludwig van Beethoven. The lines of text for Hèctor Parra's composition "Wanderwelle" come from his conversation books. This expressive work (with a reference to the Diabelli Variations) was already performed a year ago with a large orchestra as a commission from the Kölner Philharmonie. Now Michael Nagy and Gerold Huber explore the piano version of this homage and link it with songs by Beethoven himself, Hugo Wolf as well as Othmar Schoeck.
