MIDWEST EMO NIGHT 🎸 on 19/10 @absturz.club

Look forward to a very special night at Absturz! Together with riot but cute, Counsels and Pennwood Rd. we bring you the best Midwest emo sound - from tender chaos to honest, straightforward songwriting. Counsels will also be celebrating the release show of their new EP "Resign/Align", which will be released on October 18th. And best of all: after the concerts, the party continues with rock, punk, goth and the best hits of the 80s & 90s.

The young emo-punk band from Dortmund is more than just a musical phenomenon - it embodies a unique blend of energy and tenderness. But behind this artistic duality lies a deeper dimension: a message of revolutionary love and friendship.

Counsels @counseeels

Counsels are a power trio from Leipzig who have dedicated themselves to the emo sound of the 90s. Their songwriting is straightforward and unadorned, lyrical collages from their emotional inner lives are mixed with references from literature and pop culture. Counsels are celebrating the release of their fourth EP "Resign/Align" at Absturz, out 10/18.

Pennwood Rd. @pennwoodrd

Pennwood Rd. are a four-piece band from Leipzig who only got together this year. Inspired by the 90s Midwest emo scene, they bring the sound and DIY ethic of the genre into the present.
