The MINSKBAR is back and will take place on four dates between May and August 2026.

DAS MINSK and Cafébar Hedwig will be open for longer and invite you to summer evenings with art, music, drinks and snacks. Exciting live acts and DJ sets will be presented, there will be the opportunity to visit the exhibition for an extended period and talk to mediators - as well as linger together on the MINSK terraces.

This year's MINSKBAR music program is curated by Mark Reeder, one of the central figures in Berlin's music history.

MINSKBAR NO 02

Wolfgang Flür

Born in Frankfurt in 1947, Wolfgang Flür is best known as the electro drummer of the German electronic band Kraftwerk from 1973 to 1986. Together with his musical partner Florian Schneider, Flür developed the world's first electric drum pad board for the Electric Quartet. Flür has been the founder of Yamo since 1993. The album "Time Pie" (EMI Electrola) was released in 1996 in co-production with Andi Toma from Mouse on Mars. Flür's next release, a 12" single with remixes of "I Was A Robot" (Holon), climbed to number 6 in the German club charts. "I Was A Robot" is Flür's sung autobiography and was specially produced as a supplement to the German book in a parallel edition. The English edition was first published in 2000 under the title "I Was a Robot" (Sanctuary) and describes his view of the inner workings of Kraftwerk. The book was subsequently published in six different countries/translations and was one of the top ten best-selling music books in 2004 (The Independent) and one of the top ten best music stories in 2010 (The Observer).

Flür also published a whimsical collection of short stories about the Germans in the Rhineland entitled "NEBEN MIR" in 2011. Wolfgang gives readings in Germany and in selected cases also in England. Since 2004 Flür has been playing in clubs and at festivals worldwide, playing tech house, industrial and his own electro specialties, tracks by Kraftwerk and by international artists with whom he is friends. Flür has collaborated with Bon Harris' (Nitzer Ebb) Shadow Bureau project, lending his lyrics and voice to the track "Axis of Envy". Flür also collaborated with Anni Hogan (former pianist of Marc Almond) for the track "Golden Light" (lyrics and vocals) and on "Fashion Machine" (lyrics and vocals) with Ramón Amezcua of Bostich / Mexico. Wolfgang Flür's current stage appearances feature videos and rare images from his Kraftwerk past to his current projects, complemented by selected electro tracks to dance to. MUSIK SOLDAT (music soldier) is the title of Flür's program. Wolfgang sees himself as a music presenter with a historical electro background. Wolfgang released two more albums - ELOQUENCE (2015) and MAGAZINE 1 (2022).

This album reached number 1 in the TOP 40 of the British iTunes download charts for electronic albums on March 22, 2022. Wolfgang worked here with international colleagues such as the "Detroit Tech King" Juan Atkins, DJ Carl Cox, the singer Claudia Brücken (formerly Propaganda) and Peter Hook (formerly New Order) as well as with the Hamburg tech duo U96.

Wolfgang Flür had his first magazine covers in Blitzed Mag and Electronic Sound Magazine, accompanied by excellent reviews of his new music and narrative style. On March 28, 2025, Wolfgang released his latest album MAGAZINE, which entered the UK album charts at number 10. March 2025: Wolfgang releases the album TIMES with 13 tracks of the finest electro-pop. This album reached number 13 in the electronic album charts. The album was once again created in collaboration with his music partner Peter Duggal and with the help of US-American Juan Atkins, Belgian DJ Fabrice Lig, Frankfurt's NEW MEN, Brit Peter Hook, German Anthony Rother, Swiss Boris Blank and Hamburg's U96.
