MIRA 11_shift explores the interplay between humans and technology in dance. Movement proposals from an application developed for and with MIRA are at the center of the choreographic process. Contrasts between personal and anonymous, dispossessing and appropriating, and humanly inhuman are explored in a performance in which the dancers' physicality is juxtaposed with the infinite possibilities of AI. In a unified language of movement, the individual thus manifests itself in detail.
Experimental and sensitive, MIRA explores boundaries - imaginary or spatial, between genres, personal and interpersonal. The performances address central human issues and current social phenomena, always in an attempt to tear down facades.
MIRA creates interdisciplinary projects that weave dance with film, architecture, photography, and currently, virtual realities. Riera's choreographic practice is best described as curatorial and interactive. The pieces are always created in close collaboration with the dancers and the artistic team of composers and dramaturgs. Their individuality, creativity, experiences and diversity of dance styles are incorporated into the process.
