Mittagspause im Museum: „Käthe Kollwitz im Selbstporträt“ mit Kurator Dr. Lars Berg
In the organizer's words:
“Lunch Break at the Museum” is a monthly series of short guided tours focusing on various themes and objects from the exhibition and collection of the Municipal Museum. Every first Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., visitors are cordially invited to take part in a short guided tour.
Käthe Kollwitz (1867–1945) is one of the most compelling figures in the art history of the first half of the 20th century. In her socially critical works, she denounced poverty, exploitation, and the precarious working conditions of her time. The artist reflected on her own “self” in over 100 works. The focus of the “Lunch Break at the Museum” is an etched self-portrait from 1921.
Following the short, approximately 20-minute guided tour, participants are cordially invited to continue their conversation over a drink and a slice of cake in the cafeteria.
The tour, coffee, and cake are included in the admission price.
