Mitternachtskino um halb 10: "Plan 9 aus dem Weltall"

In the "Midnight Cinema at half past nine" series, we show films that became cult in the late-night screenings of the 1970s. For example, Ed Wood's unprecedented science fiction masterpiece:

Aliens are worried that mankind could destroy the entire universe with a solar bomb. As a warning, they want to bring the dead back to life with their extraterrestrial rays. The spaceship lands in the cemetery and resurrects three deceased people. There is a lot of back and forth between the gravestones.
The worst movie of all time? The film was given this title when it was re-released in the late 70s. In any case, it is one of the most interesting of the many worst films that film history has produced! The film is considered a trash classic, Ed Wood became a cult director: among other things because of the visible wires on the UFO models, the wobbling gravestones, the generally lousy acting "performances" and not least because of the bad double of the legendary Dracula actor Bela Lugosi, who had already died before (!) the shooting...
