MOTHER BEAR "ORM 2" Record Release Show w/ prask!, Vast Pure, Last Days of Burden

We are delighted to present you with a special treat from the Bunt oder Grau universe. Exclusively for you, and to the delight of everyone who was able to marvel at them last year at the Bunt oder Blau festival:

MOTHER BEAR

with their new album "Orm 2", which will be released on vinyl one (!) day earlier. They will be joined by prask!, Vast Pure and Last Days of Burden! A few weeks ago, we were already able to test drive and boil down the Hirsch Q with its new event space for you with Theo Vandenhoff and Isla Ola - now it's the turn of Mother Bear, the doom stoner project of our long-time companions, to survey the venue acoustically and with even heavier sounds. An absolute recommendation! Remember: Tickets are already on sale for the Bunt oder Blau Festival - rumor has it that members of Mother Bear will be involved again, at least graphically...

Mother Bear

Mother Bear is a stoner doom trio from Dortmund and perhaps the only Walter Moers-inspired band on the planet. On their second album "Orm 2", which will be released on vinyl on May 29th, the bears continue to boom, rumble and roar around in Zamonien and have shoveled their sound a few shovels heavier. Inspired by Windhand, Electric Wizard and the like, the three nerds are celebrating their second album and first record in the Hirsch Q and have invited a few guests.

LAST DAYS OF BURDEN

The solo project Last Days of Burden kicks off the evening with a concert featuring a sound journey somewhere in the gloom of dark and ritual ambient, but doesn't spurn cosmic music or post-industrial on its way through post-pocalyptic realms. With his philosophically charged sound, L.D.o.B. has already played as support for Mizmor or in Mother Bear drummer Florian's SLOWROOM series and produced several famous tapes.

VAST PYRE

The Eisenach-based Vast Pyre have two ponderous, dark, bone marrow-shaking albums in their luggage and bludgeon, roll and drone their way through the doom realms. The mighty scoop of Electric Wizard on top of the mountain of sludgy Conan influence is occasionally etched away by fine, sour psychedelia. We're looking forward to a heavy load of stoner doom!

PRASK!

Mother Bear's show will be introduced by a special intro set by PRASK!, a project by friend and musician Dennis Aycicek. He works under his real name in the field of sound in a live context, noise, non-music and post-industrial soundscapes, but for this evening and this alias he has his sights set on a droney performance tailored to "Orm 2".
