In its new a cappella program, the youth concert choir of the Chorakademie am Konzerthaus Dortmund addresses existential questions of community and cohesion. How can peace succeed, and how has music from different eras sought answers to these questions? In addition to well-known motets such as Heinrich Schütz's "Verleih uns Frieden", the program also includes rarely performed choral music, such as the choral song "Frieden" by Eduard Wilsing on a text by Moritz Arndt. Between early baroque and contemporary, choral songs from the 19th century bring peace to the heart.
