With their brand new album "SOS", the folk buccaneers of Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen set sail for another musical adventure. The much-celebrated band, known for their rousing melodies, humorous lyrics and energetic live performances, present an explosive mix of party-loving sea shanties, pirate romance and raw stories from a world full of adventure.

The album "SOS" is a true project of the band's heart, mastering the balancing act between traditional folk and modern rock sounds. With powerful rhythms, rousing folk melodies and powerful vocals, the band takes its crew on a journey through rough times, often humorous, sometimes thoughtful, but always authentic.

The new songs deal with the classic themes of joie de vivre, adventure and the perhaps not entirely historically accurate everyday life of pirates on the Caribbean Sea. The title song "SOS" doesn't call for help in a deadly emergency, but rather implores the captain to quickly hand over the wages so that the sailors can finally spend them in the harbor bars. Once again, the band shows that clever lyrics and the ability not to take themselves and the scene too seriously are among their greatest strengths.

Musically, the Pulveraffen go one better - the sound is rockier and more powerful than on previous albums, without losing sight of their folk roots, which repeatedly play themselves forward through striking accordion instrumentals. Mr. Hurley & The Powder Monkeys prove once again that they are not only on board with their fans, but also master every journey musically.
