The music of Münchener Freiheit has a special appeal. Its appeal remains unbroken to this day and is strong enough to capture the hearts of the next generation. Hits such as "Oh Baby", "SOS", the super hits "Ohne Dich", "1000-mal Du" or the symphonic masterpiece "So lang' man Träume noch leben kann" can be found in almost every CD cabinet in Germany.

Münchener Freiheit is a band that has written German and international pop history. One reason for this is certainly the unique "Freiheit sound" consisting of unmistakable vocals, beautiful, catchy melodies and rousing straight rock rhythms. After just a few seconds, every music fan knows: this can only be Münchener Freiheit.

In the fall of 2011, singer Stefan Zauner decided to go his own way and leave the band. In the future, Stefan wants to realize himself a little more by producing his own songs and CDs as well as productions for other artists.

The name and brand "Münchener Freiheit" has been made into what it is today by all 5 band members over the past 30 years. That's why Aron Strobel, Michael Kunzi, Rennie Hatzke and Alex Grünwald will continue to perform and produce CDs with Tim as the new frontman.

Tim enjoyed a classical vocal training, is an actor and was a presenter in several TV programs on ARD, BR, RTL etc. The band has known Tim Wilhelm for several years through a number of joint studio productions. The first shows with the new line-up were extremely successful, as Tim knows how to captivate both the existing fan base and new fans with his refreshing appearance.
