It's not so easy, this thing with life as a straight teenager: Kolja, Verena and Reinhold meet in a suicide forum on the internet. Together, they want to put a suitably dramatic end to the whole thing by jumping into an extinct volcano at Lake Balaton. The only difference is that Kolja is actually going with them to dissuade the other two from doing it. But can a chaotic journey in a tuned Audi, a dead grandpa, a wild party night at Lake Balaton, a solar eclipse and ultimately their friendship give Verena and Reinhold new courage to face life?
This evening, Murmel Clausen will not only present his new novel LEMING, but also give an insight into his entire career as a (screenplay) author: from "Der Schuh des Manitu" and "die bullyparade", to the Weimar "Tatorte" and his first two novels "Frettsack" (2012) and "Frettnapf" (2013) - and how all of this led him to the story of Kolja, Verena and Reinhold.
An exciting evening about how tough topics and complex thoughts can also be told in a light-hearted way - with very personal insights into the author's own confrontation with the topic, the processing of his own suicidal thoughts and the suicide of loved ones.
