Every year in late summer, we invite you to join us in reviving the tradition of open-air cinema at the idyllic Weisser Hirsch concert venue in Dresden and watch good movies together.

The imaginative Bastian Baltasar Bux is an outsider who is bullied at school. One day, when he comes across a quirky bookseller in an unusual bookshop, he picks up a strange book, skips class and starts reading it in the school attic. He reads about adventures and dangers in the land of Phantásia, which is threatened by the incomprehensible Nothing. But the book suddenly feels so "close" and suddenly he realizes that he himself is part of the story and can save fantasies from hopelessness with the help of his imagination.
