Guided tour
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Markk's ethnographic collection was given a prestigious location for research into cultural diversity: the new museum building on Rothenbaumchaussee. The collection was made accessible in large halls, and research was combined with colonial interests. The façade and interior rooms contain architectural features that reflect the scientific and technical understanding of the time. The tour traces these elements and refers to contemporary perspectives.
