Thementag zur Ausstellung „Bilderechos aus Peru“

MARKK cordially invites you to an exciting accompanying program for the opening of the exhibition Bilderechos aus Peru. From 11 am to 12 pm, the curators Gisela Cánepa (PUC, Peru), Walther Maradiegue (University of Bonn), Christine Chávez (MARKK) and Mark Sealy, Artistic Director of the 9th Triennial of Photography, will talk about the contents of the exhibition and collaborative curating between Peru and Europe. The discussion will be held in English. At 1 pm, Dr. Walther Maradiegue (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität) and Prof. Gisela Cánepa (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú) will give a Spanish-language guided tour of the exhibition, followed by a guided tour in German at 2 pm. Both tours offer in-depth insights into the photographs on display and their cultural backgrounds. At 3 pm there will be an artist talk in English and Spanish with the Peruvian photographer and artist Marystela Camacho, moderated by Christine Chávez (MARKK) and Gisela Cánepa (PUCP).
