A celebratory concert for one of the most influential musicians of the past decades, who was born on March 26, 1925: Pierre Boulez. As a composer, he left behind a small but powerful oeuvre. He worked for decades on the score of "Pli selon pli", a sometimes dazzling, sometimes floating sound portrait of the great symbolist poet Stéphane Mallarmé. The WDR Symphony Orchestra presents his magnum opus with soprano Magali Simard-Galdès and Jonathan Nott: An eternally sparkling diamond of contemporary music. A tribute to Boulez by Olga Neuwirth and a German premiere of the classic "Dialogue de l'ombre double" in an authorized arrangement for recorder and tape round off the concert from the Cologne Philharmonie.
