In the organizer's words:
Live sessions, authentic sounds, and a unique atmosphere
The Musikgarten is a concert series at Areal Böhler where international artists perform in a unique atmosphere. The concerts take place in Building 09—an extraordinary venue with industrial charm.
Since 2024, the Musikgarten has brought many different artists to the stage: from Dutch superstar Douwe Bob to Australian songwriting sensation Asha Jefferies to local stars like Lina Maly and zeck. This unconventional and high-quality lineup has already thrilled more than 5,000 audience members.
To capture these special moments, selected concerts are accompanied by high-quality video productions and shared on the Musikgarten’s own social media channels.
This extraordinary concert series will continue this year as well. Look forward to innovative acts from the singer-songwriter, indie-pop, and electronic music genres.
Concert tickets are deliberately priced at €15 to ensure this unique musical experience remains accessible to as many people as possible.

About the Artist:
An old electric piano, a 9-square-meter shared apartment room in Berlin, a window where the Berlin S-Bahn rattles by every 5 minutes—this is the sound of newcomer mathi. His journey is, at first glance, a familiar one. Four years ago, he moved from the suburbs of Hamburg to the big city, from Schleswig-Holstein to Berlin. In 2024, music entered the picture—unexpectedly for everyone except mathi himself. He uploaded his first songs to Spotify without much fanfare, just like that. Then the ball started rolling. The right playlists, and suddenly there were over 100,000 people who liked how and what mathi sings about. His lyrics are coming-of-age stories—seemingly “normal” descriptions of everyday life that nevertheless carry a deep-seated melancholic tone. Many recognize themselves in the images mathi paints with his words. Feeling lost in the big city, fears about the future, and unhappy love—these are often-sung-about themes, yet mathi lends them a special intensity through his method: radical vulnerability. His lyrics are carried by his sometimes smoky, sometimes smooth voice and his unique approach to instruments: broken guitars instead of polished ones, a single violin that seems almost lost, choirs as lead instruments, but also grand orchestral moments that provide contrast—all of which make his sound unmistakable. The music is honest. His sound is full of ideas. His stories are about him—and yet, somehow, about everyone.
Note: Ticket refunds are generally not possible. However, tickets can easily be transferred to friends or family members.
